World Futures Day 2026

Shaping Our Shared Tomorrow: World Futures Day 2026 Recap

On February 27, 2026, Envision Greater Green Bay hosted its fifth annual local celebration of World Futures Day at the Oneida Hotel and Casino. As one of the only communities in the nation engaging in foresight at a community-wide level, this event serves as our "strategic compass," helping us move from simply observing the future to actively shaping it.

We were honored to welcome back renowned futurist Garry Golden. His presentation pushed us to look past the "noise" of daily disruptions and focus on the deeper social and technological shifts that will define the 21st century.

Golden’s session provided a unique lens on how organizational transitions can be managed through intentional foresight.

Adam Reiswitz Completes His Service as
Envision Intern

UWGB Senior Adam Reiswitz recently completed his semester as an intern for Envision Greater Green Bay. A native of Pestigo, Reiswitz is an accounting major who most recently served as an intern for Fincantieri and will graduate on May 16. During his tenure as intern Adam was invaluable in implementing a successful World Future's Day 2026 on February 27, served as a member of our Bridge Team, a group what is helping Envision to transition to more state of the art management tools, and assisted in administrative tasks necessary in most non-profits. As an added bonus, Adam received a solid education in foresight analysis, participating in the spring Foresight Workshop with Garry Golden as well as the Foresight Network online community.

Envision Greater Green Bay recently awarded Reiswitz with the "Setting the Bar High Award". He has certainly done that--set the bar high for any future interns that serve our futuring non-profit. Oh the places Adam will go! We wish him all the best!

Many thanks to the UWGB Career Planning and Professional Connections Department who makes this non-profit internship program possible.

A Team Approach to Teaching an UWGB MBA Course

An instruction team consisting of Gratzia Villaroel, Randy Lawton, Dave Wegge, and Tony Pichler are currently teaching the Alternative Futures and Strategic Foresight course that is part of the UWGB MBA program curriculum.  The eight students in the course are receiving a heavy dose of foresight topics influenced by the instructors' certificates in foresight from the University of Houston. Sessions are a combination of on-site learning at various local businesses, on campus, and asynchronous learning online. The old saying that if you really want to learn something then teach certainly applies here!
